Hundreds of telephone booths will soon be removed from Cleveland’s streets.

City officials say the booths and pay phones inside them are a sign of a bygone era, with many people using cellphones to make calls.

Nearly 17-hundred non-working pay phones will be pulled out next year at a cost of 200-thousand-dollars.
