119TH ANNUAL FEAST OF THE ASSUMPTION
SATURDAY, AUGUST 12TH, THROUGH TUESDAY, AUGUST 15TH
LITTLE ITALY

The Festival is a celebration of the Catholic Holy Day which commemorates the Blessed Virgin Mary being taken into heaven.

During the feast hours, Mayfield Road, from the bottom of the hill at East 125th to the train underpass at E. 119th Street, will be closed to vehicular traffic.

Saturday, August 12 – Noon till Midnight
Sunday, August 13 – Noon till 11:00 pm
Monday, August 14 – 6:00 pm till 11:00 pm
Tuesday, August 15 – Noon till 11:00 pm

 

OHIO FLAGS OF HONOR
AUGUST 11TH AT 7 PM CONTINUING THROUGH NOON ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 13TH
GREENBRIER COMMONS, PARMA HEIGHTS

An event to honor those area military members who lost their lives in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gino Zimmer, along with Angelo Nuzzo, a former U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, who was in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, as well as Parma Heights Mayor Michael Byrne, will speak at the event. As a part of the opening ceremony, a tree will be planted in memory of Nicholaus Zimmer.

 

KIDS IN THE COMMONS
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, AUGUST 12TH AND 13TH
GREENBRIER COMMONS, PARMA HEIGHTS

The second annual “Kids in the Commons” event will be filled with fun activities for children of all ages.

Here is the schedule of events:

Saturday and Sunday, August 12 and 13, 2017: Pool – “Y-Splash” 10 a.m. – Noon. Registration link is online at http://www.parmaheightsoh.gov.

Pool Open Noon – 9 p.m. Saturday and Noon – 8 p.m. Sunday.

DJ Island Jeff 1-5 p.m. both days.

At the Commons: 2-4 p.m. both days: Balloon Twisting, Fun with Bubbles, Airbrush Tattoos, Pickleball, Sand Volleyball, Cornhole, Boccé Ball.
