Does Glee Predict Deaths Of Musicians?!

Glee has sung so many songs, one can’t even begin to count how many different artists have been a part of the show. But now there have been some strange coincidences between [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Glee[/lastfm] and the deaths of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Amy Winehouse[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Whitney Houston[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Robin Gibb[/lastfm].

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Amy Winehouse[/lastfm] passed away on July 23rd in 2011, and only 5 days later, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Glee [/lastfm]released a video of Santana (Naya Rivera) singing Winehouse’s “Valerie.” Even stranger was that the footage came from a month earlier when Glee: The 3D Concert Movie was being filmed. Nobody knew when Winehouse was going to die, but many assumed it wouldn’t be long because of her drug and alcohol problems. But there is no way that the writers could have planned a tribute for her death a month ahead of time.

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Whitney Houston[/lastfm] died on February 11th, 2012, and only 3 days later, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Glee[/lastfm] had Mercedes (Amber Riley) sing “I Will Always Love You” in the episode “Heart.” This was completely unintentional because the episode was delivered to the network the DAY BEFORE Whitney died. There was no way for the writers, cast and crew to have gone in and added that song before the show was to air.

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Robin Gibb[/lastfm] slipped into a coma due to complications from pneumonia on April 14th and 3 DAYS later [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Glee[/lastfm] aired the episode “Saturday Night Glee-ver.” They had finished filming the episode A MONTH before Robin Gibb’s coma. Gibb did awake from his coman on April 20th, but found out two days later that his colorectal cancer had advanced. He passed away on May 20th.

With all of these eerie coincidences, do you think that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Glee[/lastfm] could have some sort of idea when a famous artist is going to bite the dust? Let us know what you think in the poll below!
